If I needed you, would you help?
If I pleaded with you, would you care?
If I did wrong by you, would you forgive?
If I longed for you, would you be there?
If I cried to you, would you listen?
If I died by you, would you mourn?
If I hated you, would you cry?
If I deserted you, would you be torn?
If I made love to you, would you regret it?
If I lied to you, would you know?
If I hide from you, will you look?
If I asked you to leave, would you go?
If I asked you to stay, would you wait for me?
If I wanted space, would you set me free?
If I asked you to be brave, would you hold back the tears?
If I told you to forget me, would you block out the years?
If I reached to you, would you take my hand?
If I began to crumble, would you help me stand?
If I had to run, would you follow after?
If I were down, would you provide me with laughter?
If I needed somebody, would you be my friend?
If I talked and you didn’t care, would you at least pretend?
If I needed a shoulder, would I even have to ask?
If I wanted to know, would you tell me your past?
If I was afraid, would you hold me tight?
If I didn’t want to sleep, would you stay up all night?
If I looked at my worst, would you cheer me up?
If I clung to you, would you get fed up?
If I rung for you, would you ring back?
If I stuffed up, would you help me get back on track?
If I needed to believe, would you give me faith?
If I needed to leave, would you let me escape?
If I needed a guide, would you be my light?
If I wanted to stand, would you help me to fight?
If I was lost, would you look for me?
If I was alone, would you give me company?
If I was jealous, would you understand?
If I was cold, would you warm my hand?
If I was bored, would you entertain?
If I was selfish, would you give and not take?
If I cheated on you, would you give me another shot?
If I was yours, would you appreciate what you’ve got?
If I did you a favour, would you do one for me?
If I explored into your mind, what would I see?
If I left you for another, would you let me go?
If I wouldn’t tell why, would you want to know?
If I was dying, would you leave my bed?
If I had one last wish, would you listen to what I said?
If I told you a secret, would you take it to the grave?
If I was spiraling off track, would you provide me with the save?
If I was blind, would you help me to see?
If I had a dream, would you help me achieve?
If I was betrayed, would you help me get revenge?
If I was banished, would you come with?
If I felt unloved, would you blow me a kiss?
If I was angry, would you calm me down?
If I needed a lift, would you drive me to town?
If I needed a kidney, would you cut out yours?
If I was a criminal, would you take the side of the law?
If I was a bum, would you provide me with food?
If I was depressed, would you brighten the mood?
But most important is if I loved you. Would you look into my eyes, and tell me the truth?

Like Lambs
You’re not special. You are human.
We will forget you. We will move on.
The sands of time erase your footsteps on life.
Just as mine have been erased on so many hearts.
I don’t deny that I am above the rest.
We are all lambs to the slaughter.
Together we graze, alone we fade.
You may stay close to that special few
A place reserved in their hearts just for you.
But in the end we are all only human.
Things that feel great:
Revenge.
The moment when you’ve needed the toilet for hours and you finally let it all out.
That brief moment after throwing up.
The moment you get something out of your teeth that has been stuck there for hours.
The moment you gulp in air after being underwater for too long.
The moment when you look in your bank account and realise you’ve been paid.
4:21
The moment you finish an exam.
The moment you’re told school is cancelled due to rain.
The moment you know the answer.
The moment you hear the voice you’ve been longing for.
The moment you hear a song that reminds you of your childhood.
Praise.
The moment you realise it WAS worth it.
The moment the curtain drops after nailing a performance.
The moment you finally get to sit/lie down and rest after a hard days work.
The moment the whistle blows to say you’ve won a grand final.
The moment when you score a game-changing goal.
Laughter.
The moment of accomplishment.
The moment someone realises they can confide in you.
The moment your apology is accepted.
The moment hard work finally pays off.
The moment the guy get’s the girl.
Climax.
The moment you make eye contact with your lover across a room and say a silent “I love you”
The moment you realise that you DO make a difference.
The moment you stop someone from crying.
The moment you make someone smile.
The moment of enlightenment.
Love.
The moment when you’ve needed the toilet for hours and you finally let it all out.
That brief moment after throwing up.
The moment you get something out of your teeth that has been stuck there for hours.
The moment you gulp in air after being underwater for too long.
